Inauguration of new mountain road in the North Al Sharqiyah

The movement on the mountain road that connects the village of Al Oud in the Wilayat of Wadi Bani Khalid with the village of Halut of the Prosecution of Tiwi in the Wilayat of Sur was inaugurated under the auspices of His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Ahmed Al Shamsi, Governor of North Sharqiyah, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Saif bin Muhammad bin Sinan Al Ghaithi, Governor of Wadi Bani Khalid, and Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Muhanna Al Hinai, Deputy Wali of Tire on behalf of Tiwi, a number of officials of government institutions and members of the Shura Council and the Municipal Council.

The office of the Wali of Wadi Bani Khalid has adopted the aforementioned road construction project with the support of the Omani-Indian Fertilizer Company (AMIFCO) and implemented by the Al-Jahal Heights Company to its owner, Saeed bin Hamdan Al-Muqimi.

On this, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Saif Al-Ghaithi, the Wali of Wadi Bani Khalid, said: The importance of this project lies first in shortening the distance between the villages of Al-Awd and Halut to approximately 200 kilometers, so that the people can communicate easily and conveniently,, and secondly, this road serves the tourist side,, as it connects Tourist sites in the Wilayat of Wadi Bani Khalid, in the tourism sites of Tiwi Building, such as Wadi Shab and others.

It will also provide investment opportunities for tourism projects, since the area is a tourist attraction, with its moderate temperature in the summer and the nature of the area in terms of natural formations. As a result of this road, there will be spaces for future housing plans for the residents of those villages in the two states to benefit from.

His Excellency thanked the Omani-Indian Fertilizer Company AMIFCO for its continuous contributions to serve the local community, and to the project contractor, the municipality department in the state, the road department in the governorate, and all parties that had a role and contribution in the implementation of the project..and the people of Al Oud village for their cooperation with the executing company..
