Indian School Muscat, Welcomes Rakesh Joshi as New Principal

Muscat: The Indian School Muscat (ISM), Welcomes Mr. Rakesh Joshi as new principal, an academician par excellence, Mr. Rakesh Joshi is a triple postgraduate in Mathematics, Business Administration and Education and has over 30 years of expertise in various capacities as a teacher, Principal and Academic Director.

An alumnus of Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, Rakesh Joshi began his journey in the field of education in 1992 as a Mathematics Teacher in Navodaya Vidyalaya under the Ministry of Education, India. His subsequent rise as the Principal of Army Public School Patiala, Apeejay School Navi Mumbai, and India International School in Japan, Tokyo gave him diversified experience in academic leadership roles both in India and overseas. He was the Regional Academic Director of Apeejay Education Society, New Delhi before taking over the reins of Indian School Muscat (ISM).

During his academic career, he has spearheaded curriculum design and development, staff training and management, organisation and leadership development, and change-management and strategic planning for effective school leadership.

CBSE, New Delhi recognized his educational leadership acumen and conferred ‘Best Teacher Award’ in 2015. He has also numerous other awards to his credit for his invaluable contributions in the field of education given to him by prestigious organizations.

Joshi has taken up his leadership role at Indian School Muscat (ISM) with great enthusiasm. “I am truly honoured and privileged to serve as the Principal of ISM. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with the management, dedicated teachers, and supportive parents to foster holistic education and fulfil the academic achievements of students,” expressed Mr. Rakesh Joshi.
