Muscat: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Fund (inma) funded 144 small and medium projects in 2022 to the tune of RO 20 million.
Saleh Hilal Al Ma’awali, CEO of inma’s fund said that 123 projects worth RO 16 were funded through inma fund’s headquarters at Muscat. Moreover, 9 projects worth RO 3 million were financed through the fund’s office at Sohar and 9 projects worth approximately RO 1 million through the fund’s office at Salalah.
Al Ma’awali pointed out that the fund aimed to expand its funding services for SMEs in Oman and boost the contribution of those SMEs to the gross domestic product (GDP).
He added that in order to encourage SME owners to continue their activities and operations, the fund had recently decided to extend the loan payment duration up to 8 years for most financing products offered by the fund.
