Internal road works in Wilayat of Al Hamra 70% complete

Al Hamra: Internal road paving works in the Wilayat of Al Hamra in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate for the first package reached 70% completion, while the work for the second package reached 30 percent at a total cost of more than RO 5 million.

Walid bin Muhammad Al-Shamli, Director of the Al-Hamra Municipality Department, said that paving work is continuing for the first and second packages at an accelerated pace despite the difficult terrain of the areas where paving work is being carried out, as the length of the first package is more than 29 kilometers, of which 70 percent has been completed to date, and included the plans of the eastern and western Wadi Ghoul. , social housing, the Merkad, Al-Hota, and Al-Harijah scheme.

The company executing this package is completing the work of the Al-Sharia-Al-Soudi project and the Wadi Ghoul road. The company is also continuing the work of the second package with lengths exceeding 18 kilometers and includes the villages of Tawi Al-Jahla, the Al-Hara Al-Hadithah area, Tawi Salim, castle,  Al-Hob area, Al-Aishi and a number of other villages.

The project has been implemented according to technical specifications that suit the topography of each village within the project, as some villages penetrate a number of valleys and waterways, and it is hoped to be completed during the second quarter of next year.

The director of the Al-Hamra Municipality Department indicated that the project will contribute to facilitating the movement of citizens in various villages near and far from the center of the state and stimulating the economic and tourism movement in the state.
