International Green Energy Conference 2023 concludes in Dhofar

Salalah: The International Conference on Green Energy 2023, at the conclusion of its work today, at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, recommended a number of recommendations. Among them: improving sustainable initiatives, and securing building permits using methods that adhere to international norms and sustainability certifications.

The conference, which lasted for two days, also recommended providing incentives and awareness programs in the educational sectors about sustainable technologies, and the efficient use of Internet of Things technology, with solar, wind and water energy technologies for remote monitoring.

The recommendations pointed to the possibility of generating electricity in areas with low wind speeds using wind turbines made of Archimedes and 3D printing technologies, and indicated that converting solid waste into useful and sustainable energy using waste-to-energy recovery techniques will support and enhance the circular economy in the Sultanate of Oman.
