International Sculptors Camp kicks off in Sohar

Sohar: The Wilayat of Sohar in the Governorate of North Al Batinah, the activities of the International Sculptors’ Camp, in its tenth edition, were launched, with the participation of 24 sculptors representing 11 countries, as well as sculptors from the Sultanate of Oman.

The first day of the camp witnessed the beginning of the formation of sculptures executed by the participating sculptors, which achieve the camp’s slogan this year under the title “Sustainability”. The camp also witnesses accompanying activities distributed over the days of the camp, which last until the eighteenth of February.

The organizing committee of the camp has also allocated free seats to participate in training workshops in the fields of digital modeling and wood formations, in addition to cultural and artistic evenings, tourist trips, and the scientific symposium in the field of sculpture that will be held on the last day of the camp’s activities.

It is worth noting that the camp comes in cooperation with the Office of the Governor of North Al Batinah, the Office of the Wali of Sohar and the Municipality Department in Sohar. Sculptors from the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan and Turkey, as well as sculptors from Russia and the United States, participate in it. USA, Italy and Germany.
