The percentage of land occupancy in Raysut Industrial City reached 97 percent by the end of the first quarter of 2023, as the number of localized projects reached 221 projects, with a cumulative investment volume of approximately RO 500 million.
Salah bin Nasser Al-Alawi, Director General of Raysut Industrial City, said in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the projects in the industrial city vary in terms of activities between industrial, service, commercial and support, and industrial projects account for the largest proportion of 192 projects.
The Director General of Raysut Industrial City indicated that the total number of workers in the industrial city reaches 4156, of whom 1563 are citizens, with an Omanisation rate of 38 percent.
He explained that the city is witnessing an active investment movement during the current period, as the Salalah Steel Industries Company started experimental production with an investment size of 12 million Omani riyals, and the official opening of the factory will take place during the coming period. It amounts to 7 million Omani riyals during the current year.
Pointing out that this active movement comes as a result of the completion of infrastructure services, administrative and technical services, the strategic location of the industrial city and its proximity to Salalah Port, which enhances import and export opportunities, and the proximity of the industrial city to Salalah Airport with the availability of flexible logistical services that contribute to enhancing the attraction of investment opportunities in addition to The proximity of the industrial city to the Yemeni market (about 300 km).
He pointed out that the service center Masar in Raysut Industrial City is one of the investor services centers available in the industrial cities of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates “Madayn”. with various government agencies.
