“Irtiqaa” Programme Launches Leadership Forum on Emerging Technologies

National Forum Explores Digital Transformation and Future-Ready Leadership

Muscat: The “Leaders for Future Readiness” Forum commenced today as part of the four-month national dialogue and training programme “Irtiqaa”, implemented by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

Attended by senior government officials, the forum reviews rapid digital transformations and national approaches to reshaping government priorities, placing the concept of future readiness at the core of leadership decision-making.

The forum aims to develop a unified understanding of digital transformation and emerging technologies, establish a shared national vision on advanced technologies and risk management, and promote a one-government approach. It also seeks to enhance coordination and integration among government institutions and reinforce collective responsibility to achieve national objectives.

The forum features the participation of international experts and speakers, and includes the presentation of case studies, practical applications, and interactive simulations.

Organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology in partnership with the Royal Academy of Management (RAM), the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), and the Omani Society for Human Resources Management (OSHRM), the forum serves as a high-level dialogue platform for national leaders.

The forum goes beyond conventional training frameworks, focusing on aligning government decisions with future requirements. Its primary objective is to develop an integrated national leadership system characterized by flexibility and innovation, thereby strengthening the Sultanate of Oman’s capacity to address rapid global digital developments.
