    • Jabal Shams shivers at -2.3 degree Celsius, records lowest temperature in Oman

    Muscat: Jabal Shams recorded the lowest temperature in the Sultanate of Oman on Saturday.

    Jabal Shams station in Al Dakhiliyah Governroate recorded -2.3 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours, followed by Saiq station in South Al Shrqiyah Governorate with 4.7 degress Celsius while Al Mazyona station in Dhofar Governorate with 7.0 degrees Celsius.

    Thumrait sation in Dhofar Governorate recorded 7.9 degrees Celsius while Muqshin station in Dhofar Governorate recorded 8 degrees Celsius.

    In its weather forecast Oman Meteorology said: Clear to partly cloudy skies over the coastal areas of Oman Sea and parts of Al Hajar Mountains and Dhofar coast with chances of isolated rain, while mainly clear skies over the rest of governorates. A drop in temperature over most of the governorates. Chances of late night to early morning low clouds or fog over parts of governorates of South Al Sharqiya, Al West and Dhofar.
