Muscat: Oman’s Ministry of Labour announces Holiday on the Anniversary of His Majesty’s Assumption of Power

In a statement Ministry of Labour said: “On the occasion of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq assuming the reins of power in the Sultanate of Oman, and in accordance with the royal directives of His Majesty – may Allah preserve and protect him –

It has been decided that Thursday,11 January 2024, will be an official holiday for employees in the administrative units of the state’s administrative apparatus and other public legal persons, as well as workers in private sector establishments.

It is permissible to work on the aforementioned day if necessary, provided that this is compensated according to the applicable regulations.

On this significant occasion, we extend heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik – may Allah preserve and protect him. Wishing prosperity and progress under His wise leadership.
