Journalists Forum open in Dhofar Governorate

Salalah: The Omani Journalists Association organized at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, the activities of the Journalists’ Forum, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsen Al-Ghassani, Mayor of Dhofar.

The three-day forum included the presentation of a number of working papers, discussing “Dhofar Municipality’s efforts to strengthen the development sector in Dhofar Governorate” and “Nama’s experience with Dhofar services – challenges and solutions,” in addition to a dialogue session titled “The Role of Journalism and Media in the Development of Governorates.”

It also included the presentation of two visual presentations, the first on the activities and programs of the Omani Journalists Association and the second on economic development and cultural and tourist attractions in the governorate, in addition to an exhibition of photographs of a number of heritage tourist destinations in the Dhofar Governorate.
