Shinas: Jussor Foundation celebrated the launch of four projects, to the tune of RO 345,000, implemented within its social investment program in the Governorate of North Al Batinah. The projects were funded jointly by OQ and Sohar Aluminium.
The ceremony was held in Al Qurm Natural Park in Shinas, under the auspices of Sayyid khalifa Al Mardas Al Busaidi, Secretary General for Governorates Affairs at the Ministry of Interior. The event was attended by Sheikh Said Hamiyar Al Malik Al Shehhi, Governor of North Al Batinah, Chairman of Jussor Foundation’s Board of Directors.
The first project was the development of the 28,000 square meter Al Qurum Natural Park in the Wilayat of Shinas with a total cost of RO 200,000 funded by Sohar Aluminium and OQ, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior.
The development included the implementation of a 3 km walkway, an arena theatre, a migratory bird viewing platform, 11 family rest areas and barbecue sites, as well as the construction of a crossing bridge over the waterway, children’s games, green fields and a cafe. It also included the establishment of a park gate, mosque, security booth, toilets and parking lot.
The Second project was the construction of a park in the mountainous area of Al Hayleen in the Wilayat of A’Suwaiq on an area of 2,000 square meters, which is surrounded by a 320-emtre walkway. The park is equipped with children rides, as well as a cafe, toilets and family rest areas, to the tune of RO 55,000 funded by Sohar Aluminium
The third project was to provide equipment to clean beaches in the Wilayats of the Governorate this project, with a total cost of RO 40,000 was funded by OQ. In addition to the supply and installation of 60 recreational rides for public parks in the Wilayat of Sohar for a total cost of RO 50,000 funded by OQ.
Sheikh Said Hamiyar Al Shehhi, Governor of North Al Batinah, said, “These projects fall within the programme of social projects implemented by Jusoor Foundation that contributes to cultural development.
Sheikh Seif also pointed out that the Board of Directors of Jussor Foundation takes into account that the projects are sustainable and benefit the public. “Jusoor Foundation takes into account that the projects are sustainable and benefit the public. “Jusoor Foundation to implement other projects as per an annual action plan, which demonstrated its positive role in the Wilayats of the Governorate of North Al Batinah.” he added.

OQ is constantly working to continuously contribute to sustainable development projects, especially those that meet the aspirations of the community, whether through projects implemented by Jusoor Foundation, projects implemented by OQ directly, or those carried out in partnerships with some government institutions.
