Justice and Legal Affairs organizes Muscat Arbitration workshop 2024

Muscat: The Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, represented by the General Directorate of Legal Affairs, in cooperation with the Three Crowns LLP and Decree, organizes Muscat Arbitration Workshop 2024, at the Ministry’s General Office in Muscat Governorate.

The inauguration of the Muscat Arbitration Workshop 2024 under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Yahya Nasser Al Khusaibi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs.

The workshop will include presentations as well as panel discussions on different topics related to international arbitration.

The organization of the seminar comes within the framework of the initiatives of the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs in the field of legal awareness and the development of legal skills in various fields through cooperation with international expertise present in the Sultanate of Oman and abroad, with the aim of developing and enriching the legal knowledge aspects of jurists and legal professionals, and exchanging experiences with specialists in the field Law in the public and private sectors.

Maryam bint Abdullah Al-Kayoumiyya, a senior researcher from the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, said: The seminar includes the presentation of working papers and discussion sessions on legal topics related to international arbitration and the most important legal issues regarding the appointment of arbitrators, presented by a number of experts in the field of international arbitration from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman, and a seminar A dialogue session on the latest developments in the field of dispute settlement, in addition to a panel discussion on managing arbitration costs.

Professor Nassib Ziade’, a world-renowned international arbitrator, is now delivering a presentation on the recent trends and developments in the field of Arbitration in the MENA region.
