Khimji Ramdas organizes its annual blood drive

Muscat: Dedicated to upholding corporate social responsibility, KR Group concluded its 41st annual blood donation drive, a longstanding tradition held during the holy month of Ramadan. The event was organised under the supervision of the Blood Donation Services Department, Ministry of Health (MoH).

KR Group’s employees’ family and friends actively participated, embodying the organization’s commitment to service and community welfare for over four decades. A notable number of KR employees graciously stepped forward to donate blood, contributing to the noble cause of saving lives. The response from donors was positive, reflecting the spirit of generosity and compassion.

The event highlighted the critical importance of sustaining blood supplies, especially during Ramadan, when demand often exceeds availability. Adhering strictly to blood bank guidelines, thorough immunization histories, travel records, and medical screenings were meticulously recorded prior to blood donation, ensuring the safety and well-being of both donors and recipients.

Anil Khimji, Director of KR Group, expressed his profound gratitude to all donors who supported this noble cause. “The spirit of caring and sharing during Ramadan underscores our commitment to raising public awareness and supporting local communities. We extend heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Zainab Al-Araimi and the entire team at the Blood Bank Services Department for their selfless efforts,” stated Anil Khimji.

Dr. Zainab Al-Araimi, Director of Blood Bank Services, emphasized the critical need for blood supplies in the Sultanate, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. “Initiatives like the KR Group’s annual blood donation drive serve as beacons of hope for patients in need. We are pleased by KR Group’s longstanding dedication to community service and commend their clinic and administrative teams for their tireless efforts in ensuring the success of this initiative,” remarked Dr. Zainab Al-Araimi.

KR Group remains committed to fostering a culture of compassion and solidarity, inspiring everyone to join in efforts that contribute to the greater good of society.
