King Jigme Khesar Receives Omani Ambassador
Thimphu: Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, King of the Kingdom of Bhutan, received Issa Saleh Al Shibani, who presented his credentials as Non-Resident Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Bhutan.
The official ceremony took place at the Tashichho Dzong in the capital.
During the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of Haitham bin Tarik to the King of Bhutan, along with His Majesty’s wishes for continued health and happiness and for further progress and prosperity for the people of Bhutan.
For his part, the King expressed appreciation for the positive relations between the Kingdom of Bhutan and the Sultanate of Oman, affirming his country’s keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both nations.
