Lab to Develop Services for People with Disabilities Kicks off in Oman

Muscat: A lab on the development of services and programmes for people with disabilities kicked off today, coinciding with the international day for people with disabilities.

The lab’s theme touches on the topic of unity in action to activate Sustainable Development Goals for people with disabilities.

The launching event was held under the patronage of Sheikh Al Fadhl Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers.

Further, the event is organized by the Ministry of Social Development in cooperation with Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit. It is also held in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labour, private sector establishments, civil society institutions and employees working in fields related to people with disabilities, as well as several institutions of relevance to the event.

The lab, which is ongoing till the end of December, aims to align services and programmes for people with disabilities with Oman Vision 2040. – ONA
