Labour Law Adapts to Changes, Developments in the Market: Oman’s Minister

Muscat: Dr. Mahad Said Ba’owain, Minister of Labour, said that the issuance of the Labour Law comes to cope with the changes and developments in the labour market.

The issue of the law confirms the Royal keenness of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, to elevate Oman to higher levels of organization, he added.

The minister pointed out that the Labour Law assumes importance in the protection of rights and realizing aspirations, following a fruitful cooperation and partnership between the three production parties.

He affirmed that the promulgation of the law prioritizes the interest of both the worker and the employer alike for the public interest represented in consolidating legislations that strike balance within the labour market and cement firm grounds for renewed Oman. – ONA
