Large quantities of expired paints seized in Oman, fine imposed on commercial establishment

The Khasab Consumer Protection Department managed to seize two commercial institutions that trade and sell quantities of expired paints, as part of its efforts to curb abuses committed by some suppliers, combat the spread of unauthorized trade, and hold violators accountable in accordance with the Consumer Protection Law, its executive regulations, amendments and decisions issued by the authority.

The details are summed up in the fact that, during their field visits to shops and markets in the governorate, the judicial control officers seized two commercial establishments that traded expired paints, in violation of the Consumer Protection Law and its executive regulations. Legal measures were taken against the facility, where the legally prescribed administrative fine was imposed.

The authority affirms that it will spare no effort in following up and monitoring the markets and controlling everything that might harm the health and safety of consumers or detract from their rights, and take legal measures against violators.
