Social Development organizes the Leadership Empowerment Forum in South Al Batinah

Musannah: The Directorate General of Social Development in the North and South Al Batinah Governorates, in cooperation with the Omani women’s associations in the South Al Batinah Governorate, today organized the Leadership and Empowerment Forum in South Al Batinah.

The forum aims to shed light on the efforts of Omani women’s associations in supporting and empowering Omani women and productive families.

The forum included an Oman operetta presented by the Omani Women’s Association in the Wilayat of Barka, and Youssef bin Mohsen Al Lamki, CEO of the Rabat Center for Initiatives and Social Responsibility, presented a working paper entitled (Community Partnership as a Tool for Women’s Economic Empowerment).

On the sidelines of the forum, the product guide of Omani women’s associations in the South Al Batinah Governorate was launched, as well as the signing of empowerment agreements with the Integrated Arab Vision Company, the Gulf Mushroom Production Company, Hisn Al-Khairat Trading Company, and the Zakat and Charity Fund in the Wilayat of Musannah for training programs for productive families and Omani women’s associations.

It also included holding a discussion panel between the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Commerce, the management of the Small and Medium Enterprises Authority, and the Oman Development Bank to present the facilities provided to project owners as well as the procedures followed by them and to discuss the challenges facing projects and develop solutions to overcome them.

The activities of the forum, which was held at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Mussanah, were attended by His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Shamsi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development, and a number of Their Excellencies, military and security leaders, heads of government and private agencies, sheikhs and leaders of the governorate, and companies supporting the empowerment sector.
