List of diseases and surgeries excluded from Free treatment for expats under Civil service law, ministry of labour

Muscat: Mahad bin Saeed bin Ali Baouin, Minister of Labor, issued Ministerial Decree No. 60/2021 amending some provisions of the executive regulations of the Civil Service Law.

The decision was based on the Civil Service Law promulgated by Royal Decree No. 120/2004, Royal Decree No. 89/2020 to establish the Ministry of Labor, define its terms of reference and approve its organizational structure, and the executive regulations for the Civil Service Law issued by Resolution No. 2010/9

The first article stipulated a replacement for Clause No. (11) from the list of diseases and surgeries excluded from free treatment attached to each of: Appendix No. (10) Employment contract for non-Omanis to occupy permanent jobs, and Appendix No. (11) contract for temporary employment, from the executive regulations of the Civil Service Law referred to the following item:

Heart and cardiovascular disease.

While the second article stipulated the cancellation of all that contradicts this decision, or contravenes its provisions.

The third article stipulates that this decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and it shall be enforced from the day following the date of its publication.
