Live: His Majesty the Sultan offers condolences on the death of Queen Elizabeth II and congratulates King Charles III on his ascension to UK throne

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik offered condolences to King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Head of the Commonwealth, Camilla, the Queen Consort, and members of the British Royal Family on the demise of Queen Elizabeth II. The condolences were offered when His Majesty the Sultan was received at Buckingham Palace in London this evening.

His Majesty the Sultan expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to King Charles III on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. His Majesty reiterated Oman’s solidarity with the United Kingdom in its immense grief.

His Majesty the Sultan also expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the British Monarch on the occasion of his accession to the throne in the United Kingdom. His Majesty also wished King Charles III success in leading the friendly people of Britain.

On his turn, King Charles III expressed his sincere thanks and utmost appreciation for His Majesty the Sultan’s noble feelings, wishing him continuous health and wellbeing. The British Monarch also wished further progress and growth for the Omani people.

During offering the condolences, His Majesty the Sultan was accompanied by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court.
