Muscat: The 24th Press Conference of the Supreme Committee on Covid-19.

Minister of Health: Currently no plan to close airport or enforce a complete lockdown in Oman, but future decisions based on the pandemic situation.

Minister of Health: The government’s priorities are the health of the citizens and the residents. The results of the partial closure were positive in the Dhofar Governorate, it helped limit the spread of the virus; the cases dropped.

Minister of Health: The Ministry of Health has brought 2,064 doctors since the start of the pandemic, despite the global shortage of professionals in this sector.

Minister of Health: The health sector has become exhausted because of the Covid wave that is currently hitting the Sultanate .

Minister of Health: The number of inpatients with Covid-19 disease in intensive care units has exceeded 464 cases.

Minister of Health: The numbers are very alarming and frightening Most of the deaths during the month of April were for people over the age of sixty who refused to be vaccinated.

Minister of Health: We aim to vaccinate all target groups with a dose of the vaccine before the end of August.

Minister of Health: 3.2 million Covid-19 #vaccines will reach the Sultanate from the beginning of next month until the end of September.
