M-91 Automobile Fuel Production rises by 40% till End of October 2021

Muscat (ONA): The Sultanate of Oman refineries recorded an increase in the production of (M-95) automobile fuel units the end of October 2021 by 6% compared to the same period of 2020, according to data release by the National Centre for Statistis and Information (NCSI)

Of the total production, sales of petrol (M-95) stood at 10,605,600 barrels, an increase by 14%, while its exports stood at 1,422,200 barrels, comprising a rise by 0.4%, compared to the same period in 2020.

The production of standard grade petrol (M-91) by Omani refineries stood at 11,188,900 barrels comprising a rise by 40% till the end of October 2021, compared to the same period in 2020. Domestic sales of petrol (M-91) stood at 7,280,800 barrels, a 12% increase, while its exports reached 3,973,200 barrels, a rise by 38%, compared to the same period in 2020.

Gas oil (diesel) output increased by 4% to 29,773,800 barrels. Domestic sales of diesel stood at 11,142,600, a rise by 0.3%, and its exports reached 18,437,500, and increase by 6% compared to the same period in 2020.

Aviation fuel of production fell by 24% to 4,753,600 barrels at the end of October 2021, compared to the same period in 2020. Its domestic sales decline by 17% to 1,233,600 barrels. Exports of aviation fuel also dropped by 27% to 3,549,300 barrels.

Production of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) increased by 17% to 6,043,500 barrels until the end of October 2021. Its domestic sales increased by 162% to 5,959,500 barrels, Of the total production, exports of LPG reached 392,200 barrels, a decline of 88%.

As far as petrochemicals are concerned, benzene production increased by 18%, compared to October 2020 to reach 183,200 metric tons, while its exports stood at 183,800 metric tons.

Output of paraxylene stood at 471,400 metric tons, while its exports reached 478,300 metric tons.

Production of polypropylene stood at 177,700 metric tons, comprising a decline of 9%. Its domestic sales increased by 24% to stand at 36,500 metric tons. Its exports reached 130,100 metric tons, a decline of 11%.
