Al Buraimi: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates “Madayn”, represented by Al Buraimi Industrial City, organized a symposium entitled “Food Industries… Developing Healthy Systems and Practices in the Work Environment”, with the aim of introducing the most important standards in food processing.

The symposium, sponsored by Sheikh Dr. Faisal bin Saleh Al-Maskari, Deputy Wali of Al-Buraimi, also aims to introduce best health practices and contribute to limiting the spread of food-related diseases and reducing their occurrence.

Saeed bin Abdullah Al Balushi, Director General of Al Buraimi Industrial City, explained in his speech that the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates “Madayn” is seeking, through organizing this symposium, in cooperation with government and private agencies, to keep up with the efforts made over the past years, which are concerned with setting an investment framework and encouraging the establishment of food projects. An important vital industry that plays an important role in the country’s national economy.

He pointed out that “Madayn” continues its efforts towards promoting economic diversification in various sectors, especially in the food industry sector, as it is a major tributary for securing food security in the Sultanate of Oman. Therefore, this work is reflected on workers in industrial establishments, giving them complete priority by securing favorable conditions (environmental and health), in addition to applying the best standards in factories to ensure the safety and quality of the product.

During the symposium, a visual presentation was presented on what the Corporation is doing in the field of industrial facilities control, in addition to discussing a number of important axes in the field of food industries and the development of healthy systems and practices in the work environment.
