Muscat: An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale was recorded in the Gulf of Aden at 11:17 am on Saturday 3 June 2023, the Earthquake Monitoring Center (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University reported on Saturday
A statement issued online by the EMC said: “An earthquake in the Gulf of Aden has been recorded with a magnitude of 6.1 on 3 June 2023 at 11:17 am local muscat time and at a depth of 10 km. The earthquake was recorded 802 km SW, away from Salalah .”
