Magnitude 7.5 earthquake strikes off N.Pacific Ocean of Russia, 8632 km NE away from Muscat

Muscat: An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.5 was monitored in N. Pacific Ocean of Russia on Saturday, August 17, 2024, said the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC).

In a statement the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University said that an earthquake in the N. Pacific Ocean of Russia was recorded at 11:10 pm MCT, at a depth of 30 KM. The earthquake was recorded 8632 km NE, away from Muscat.
