Muscat: Mahout station recorded the highest temperature on Saturday, with the mercury touching 47.3 degrees Celsius.
A statement issued online by Oman Meteorology said: “Mahout station in Al Wusta Governorate recorded 47.3 degrees celsius as the highest temperature recorded in the country during last 24hours was on 30th Saturday March, followed by Shalim station in Dhofar Governorate with 38.4° Celsius and then Yaaloni Station in Al Wusta Governorate with 35.6° Celsius. 34.6° Celsius was recorded in Zamaim and 34.5° Celsius in Thumrait station in Al Wusta Governorate. The lowest temperature recorded in the Sultanate of Oman during the last 24 hours was 11.1° Celsius in Jabal Shams station in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
