Maldives Finance Minister Meets with Omani Officials

Muscat: Sultan Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance met in his office today Ibrahim Amir, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Maldives, who is currently paying a three-day visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

The two sides discussed topics of common interests and exchanged views on some financial matters. They also explored means of boosting cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

The Finance Minister of Maldives also met during his visit with Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals and Nasser Khamis Al Jashmi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance, who supervises the National Program for Financial Sustainability and Development of the Financial Sector, as well as a number of government officials.

These meetings come within the context of enhancing the Omani-Maldives relations in the economic sectors and the fields of energy. – ONA
