    A citizen was arrested after he stabbed a female citizen with a knife, which led to her death in Al Dhahirah Governorate in Ibri.

    A statement issued online by the Royal Oman Police said: “A citizen was arrested after he stabbed a female citizen with a knife, which resulted in her death. The legal procedures are being completed against him.”

    The Social media in the Sultanate has been buzzing with the news of killing of an Omani female student studying at a university in the Wilayat of Ibri in Al-Dhahirah Governorate by an Omani citizen, which occured on Sunday, December 11, 2022.

    Citizens were upset by this news and demanded severe punishment.

    Last week, a citizen has been arrested on charges of assaulting a woman with a knife in the Wilayat of Seeb as a result of family dispute between them.
