Man dies after falling from mountain in Qurayyat

Muscat: The body of a citizen who had fallen from the top of mountain in the Wilayat of Qurayyat was recovered on Saturday night.

In a statement CDAA said: “The rescue teams at the Department of Civil Defense and Ambulance in the Muscat Governorate dealt with a report that a citizen had fallen from the top of a mountain in the Wilayat of Qurayyat, where the teams were able to reach him with the help of Royal Oman Police Aviation, despite the difficult mountainous terrain, and retrieve the body of the man.”

The Civil Defence has urged hikers and mountaineers to register their details on the NIDAA app prior to venturing out on any adventure trip.
