Masirah Winter Forum kicks off today

Masirah: The activities of the Masirah Winter Forum 2024, held at the Marine Tourist Park, in the Wilayat of Masirah in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, and will last 8 days.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Abdullah Baaween, Governor of Masirah, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Masirah Winter Forum activities, said: The idea of ​​the “Masirah Winter Forum” activities came in conjunction with the active winter season witnessed by the Wilayat of Masirah to highlight the natural, touristic, heritage and cultural components that distinguish Masirah Island in order to achieve and revitalize Internal and external tourist movement.

The forum includes a variety of heritage, tourism and cultural activities and programmes, including the heritage tent, which includes 60 craftsmen who embody traditional industries such as textile, kohl, sandal and silverware making.

The forum also includes an exhibition for productive families and craftsmen in the state and the women’s municipal market, with the participation of the government institutions tent (a group of government institutions and the Omani Women’s Association in the state) to introduce its services provided to the community, in addition to a corner for folk arts, marine arts, and children’s games.
