“Mawhub” initiative launched to Groom people with disability in Al Jabal Al Akhdar

Al Jabal Al Akhdar: An initiative codenamed “Mawhub” or “Talented” was launched today in the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar (the Green Mountain) to groom people with disabilities and enpower them to work in the tourism sector. The initiative was launched cooperatively between OMRAN Group, Al Wafa’a Centre for the Rehabilitation of People with Disability, and DusitD2 Naseem Resort, Al Jabal Al Akhdar.

The inauguration was held under the patronage of HH Sayyida Hujaiaja Jaifr Al Said, and the “Mawhub” initiative is the first initiative concerned with supporting people with disabilities in the tourism sector, enhancing their capabilities and paving the way for them to acquire practical skills and opening new doors to diverse job opportunities.

The initiative aims to enhance awareness of the capabilities of persons with disabilities in the tourism sector, empower participants through specialized training that qualifies them to engage in the labor market, encourage social integration, and highlight the effective role of persons with disabilities in society.
