Muscat: Under the patronage of HH. Sayyed Fahar Bin Fatek Al-Said, the grand finale of Dar Al Attah’s “BIG GIVE” competition was held at Al Bustan, celebrating the brightest minds in charitable innovation from students across Oman. The annual event highlights creative charitable initiatives aimed at making a lasting impact on society.
This year, the Kahatain team from the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) was honoured with the Exceptional Prize for their groundbreaking charity project. The team—comprised of MCBS students Jawaher Al Shihhi, Wisal Al Riyami, and Abdulrahman Al Mufarji—was led by Ms Hazar Ayadi, a lecturer from the General Education Department. Their tireless efforts throughout the academic year culminated in a stunning project that captivated the judges and earned admiration from the audience.
The Kahatain team’s project focused on addressing the financial burdens faced by orphans, with a particular emphasis on covering educational fees, housing, and food costs. Their creative approach included an awareness campaign showcased in various malls across Muscat, which inspired countless visitors to engage with their cause and contribute donations. The initiative successfully drew attention to the challenges orphans face and the children of prisoners, providing critical financial support that alleviated their hardships.
The team’s dedication and enthusiasm were recognized at the awards ceremony, which brought together representatives from colleges and universities across Oman. Their achievement highlights the power of student-led initiatives in driving meaningful social change. The MCBS Senior Management, along with Dar Al Attah representatives and the MCBS Community Engagement and Marketing teams, were instrumental in supporting the Kahatain team’s journey to success.
MCBS is proud to celebrate this unique achievement, which reflects the college’s commitment to fostering social responsibility and innovation within its student body.
