Muscat: Muscat Electricity Distribution company (MEDC)  says customer has right to claim compensation in the event of company’s failure in providing level of service. 

With reference to the statement issued by the Public Service Regulatory Authority regarding the application of service level standards, we would like to inform our valued customer that the guaranteed standard of service program will be applied for all customer. Whereby, the customer has the right to claim compensation in the event of the company’s failure in providing the level of service. These compensations / entitlements will be added to the customers electricity account or as an additional electricity credit to customers in a prepaid meter or any other suitable payment method. 

The customer shall also submit a formal complaint to the Company and claim it within 30 working days from the date of the alleged breach of the guaranteed service standards visa the Company’s website.
