Muscat: The Medical and Public Health Response Sector of the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) held here today a meeting under the chairmanship of Dr. Said Harib Al Lamki, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs, Head of the Medical and Public Health Response Sector.
Al Lamki underscored the importance of this vital sector and underlined the significance of undertaking precautionary measures to handle health cases which require assistance, especially in the emergence of challenges that hinder providing health services during and after the tropical cyclone.
The Undersecretary also highlighted recommendations of the National Committee for Emergency Management.
Moreover, the meeting discussed the readiness of the sector and reviewed actions which will be taken during the effects of tropical cyclone “Tej” on the governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta, as well as related response plans for the health sector. – ONA
