Salalah: Members of the GCC Advisory Authority today visited the Port of Salalah, a subsidiary of “Asyad” group, the global provider of integrated logistics services in the Sultanate of Oman.
The visit formed part of the programme of the 4th meeting of the 26th session of the Advisory Authority of the GCC Supreme Council. The two-day session was held in Salalah. The visit offered an opportunity to outline the services provided by the port like loading and unloading operations, storage of goods and other port services.
The members of the GCC Advisory Authority also took note of the port’s competitive advantages, including quick access to Salalah Free Zone, where foreign investors can have full ownership of the projects they establish.
Investors in Salalah Free Zone also benefit from complete exemption from taxes, as well as import and re-export duties and exemption from the corporate tax for up to 30 years, among other incentives. – ONA
