Sohar: The Municipal Council of North Al Batinah Governorate held its first meeting for the third term. During the meeting, chaired by Mohammed Suleiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, the members of the Council were sworn in for the third term. They also elected a Deputy Chairman for the Council and formed standing committees.
The Deputy Chairman was chosen through the use of “Tanmia” app, which is launched for the first time.
The position went to Abdullah Yahya Al Jabri, who won 14 out of the 21 votes.
The meeting also saw the selection of heads of standing committees, which were the Legal Committee, the Social Affairs Committee, the Health and Environmental Affairs Committee and the Governorate’s Development Committee.
