Muscat: Oman’s Meteorology issues an alert for Thunderstorms accompanies by downward winds and hail are expected in parts of Oman on Thursday.
In a statement Meteorology said: “issued a warning about the possibility of flying unstable objects and low horizontal visibility during thunderstorms and the flow of valleys, stressing that forecasts indicate good formations of cumulus clouds with thunderstorms accompanied by active to very fast downward winds and possibility of hail falling over the Hajar Mountains areas. It extends to the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman, where it is concentrated on the governorates of North and South Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah and parts of Al Dakhiliyah during the afternoon and continues into the night.”
