Minister honours several women in celebration of Omani Women’s Day 

Muscat: A number of Omani women in various fields were honoured on Wednesday in celebration of the Omani Women’s Day 2022, during a ceremony organized by “Al Ro’ya” newspaper entitled “Rehana Ataa” under the patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.

Her Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation affirmed that the Omani Women’s Day is a cherished memory that brings to mind a rich history and chapters of Omani women’s contributions and achievements that are recorded in ink of gold.

The ceremony included the screening of the film “A Rehana, a Perpetual Giving”, which dealt with chapters on the history of Omani women’s tenders and achievements, highlighting their support and achievements.

Eng. Siham Al Harthiya, CEO and founder of Siham Development and Investment, gave the speech “Women of Oman”, during which she reviewed the sublime care that empowered women in society and development, reiterating the pledge to continue the path of their national contributions in accordance with the priorities and future goals of the “Oman 2040” vision.

She added that the Omani woman has been able to achieve successes that the nation is proud of, and society today is reaping its fruits through achievements that have reached the world, noting that Oman has invested and invested a lot to make its girls top the highest ranks in science.

The ceremony witnessed the launch of the rehabilitation initiative “Rayhana” to provide consultations to a number of Omani women in various fields.
