Minister of Health visits rehabilitation centre for persons with disabilities

Muscat: His Excellency Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health, and his accompanying delegation visited today a number of rehabilitation centers for persons with disabilities affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development.

Minister of Health visited the Al-Wafa Center for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities in the State of Bidbid. During his tour of the center, he learned about the physical therapy rooms, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy rooms.

The Minister of Health also visited the Safety Unit at the Al-Aman Rehabilitation Center located in Al-Khoud area in the Wilayat of Seeb, and reviewed the rehabilitation programs provided for severely and multi-disabled in-patient cases, and the physical therapy hall.

His Excellency concluded the visit by visiting the National Autism Center in Al-Khoud, and while touring the halls of the center, he learned about the halls it contains equipped in various fields of special education, and other facilities, and the role of each of them in providing various care and rehabilitation programs for people with autism spectrum disorder.

He was received by Her Excellency Dr. Laila bint Ahmed Al-Najjar, Minister of Social Development, and a number of center officials.
