Minister of Heritage and Tourism receives Russian Culture Minister

Oman’s Minister of Heritage and Tourism meets Minister of Culture in the Russian Federation.

Muscat: Salim Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism received in his office today Olga Borisovna Lyubimova, Minister of Culture in the Russian Federation.

The meeting touched on aspects of the joint cooperation in areas of tourism, culture and heritage. They also discussed means of holding B2B meetings and reviewed ways to boost cooperation in the field of museum.

The two sides further explored the possibility of expanding the tourism promotion of the Sultanate of Oman in Russia by opening a tourism representation office and framing cooperation in the field of capacity building and investments.

They agreed to devise a joint executive program through which joint meetings and events are organized in cooperation with relevant companies from the private sector to open broader areas for cooperation.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the National Museum and the Russian Ambassador to Oman.
