Minister of Transport: The civil aviation sector is ready to resume its operations once a decision is taken.

In a statement during the  11th press conference of the Supreme Committee 25th June 2020 Thursday.

H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport, member of the Supreme Committee “The civil aviation sector is ready to resume its operations once a decision is taken, while the evacuation and air cargo flights are still operating at our airports.”

In a statement in the 11th Press Conference Minister of Transport says: “The Civil aviation sector is ready to resume its operations once a decision is taken” while the evacuations and air cargo flights are still operating at our airports.

There are countries that still have not opened up their airports, while some nations ask for health requirements, including the health isolation of arriving passengers in the countries , added Minister of Transport.

The aviation sector has been greatly affected and there is an almost complete decline in traffic, revenues and incomes, the contribution of aviation sector to the GDP has decreased by 50%.

Efforts are exerted to reduce operational costs in the aviation sector as more than 40% have been reduced so far.
