Ministry alert on real estate brokerage companies in Oman to register and renew expired licenses

Muscat: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has urged real estate brokerage companies in Muscat Governorate to register and renew their expired licenses with the Ministry.

In a statement The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning said: “The Ministry call on real estate brokerage companies in Muscat Governorate of register and renew expired licenses and the need to reconcile their legal statuses by registering with the Real Estate Registry Secretariat in accordance with the amendments issued to the law regulating brokerage work in real estate fields pursuant to Royal Decree No. (2010/91) in line with the transformation journey comprehensive digital.

The ministry explained that this alert came after monitoring the practice of real estate brokerage through communication and other platforms, stressing that this is in violation of laws and provisions, calling for obtaining a license from the competent authorities according to the regulations in force, in order to avoid any legal consequences.
