New Oman Maritime Portal Introduced with 90+ E-Services
Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has launched the “Oman Maritime Portal,” a digital platform offering more than 90 maritime e-services aimed at streamlining procedures and improving user experience.
The platform provides a unified electronic gateway for maritime and port services, reducing reliance on paper-based processes and enabling faster service delivery.
In its first phase, the portal introduces 13 key services, including vessel and marine unit registration, navigation permits issuance and renewal, certification services, and inspection requests. The system is integrated with multiple entities, including the Royal Oman Police, Oman Business Platform, and other public and private sector institutions.
The portal also features real-time dashboards and analytical tools to support monitoring, performance tracking, and decision-making, while contributing to the development of national expertise through training and knowledge transfer.
The Ministry stated that the platform will be rolled out in six phases, supporting the ongoing digital transformation of the maritime and logistics sector and enhancing service efficiency for beneficiaries.
