Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth organizes Omani Physical Activity Day 2023 event

Muscat: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, represented by the General Directorate of Sports Activities, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, organized an event on the occasion of the Omani Day for Physical Activity 2023 and a walking route under the slogan “The goal is to walk”, at Al Sahwa Park in Muscat Governorate.

The event aims to encourage community members to practice physical activity, instill and consolidate the correct concepts of sports activity, and targets all ages of citizens and residents in the Sultanate of Oman.

The event was sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health, in the presence of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, and with the active participation of various members of society. His Excellency Basil bin Ahmed Al-Rawas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth, said: The Sultanate of Oman celebrates the Omani Day of Physical Activity on October 2 every year, and it is an opportunity to highlight physical activity and the importance of health, adding that community participation was effective, and this is evidence of Community awareness of the importance of physical activity.

It is worth noting that the Omani Physical Activity Day was dedicated to disseminating the concept and importance of physical activity and the extent of its positive impact on the individual’s health and life.
