Annual Meeting of Private School Directors Begins, Focuses on Quality and Regulatory Alignment

Muscat:  The Ministry of Education today launched its annual meeting for directors and heads of departments of private schools across the educational directorates of the Sultanate of Oman’s governorates.

The 5-day meeting was opened under the auspices of Majid Said Al Bahri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs.

The meeting aims to exchange expertise in private school education, review local and international success stories, and strengthen integration between government and private institutions in order to ensure the sustainability of quality and raise the efficiency of the educational system.

Discussions will address the common challenges facing private schools, government initiatives related to private education, regulatory and licensing requirements, and ongoing quality projects. The agenda also includes ways to develop a safe, supportive, and motivating educational environment for students, teachers, and school administrations.

The sessions will further review distinguished international experiences in the areas of educational infrastructure, curricula development, child protection, disability-inclusive education, and school governance.

Over the course of the meeting, participants will discuss 25 working papers focusing on mechanisms to improve private education, enhance the safety and balanced development of students, and strengthen awareness of the laws and regulations that govern the educational process in private schools.
