    Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) issues standard specifications for small unmanned aerial vehicles

    Muscat: With the aim of enabling trade and industry and enhancing the investment environment the Ministry has adopted two specifications for small unmanned aircraft:

    Technical requirements for electrical power systems for small drones.

    Flight control system for small and light multicopter civil unmanned aerial vehicle system.

    Providing technical requirements

    Providing testing methods for drone electrical power systems

    Enhancing the investment environment

    Enhancing the quality of products

    Increased competition

    Promoting innovation

    Increasing production efficiency

    Defines configuration and functional requirements

    Defines flight controls for multi-copter drones

    Providing a flight control system that consists of its controller

    Providing a navigation unit and a fault diagnosis and management unit

    Flight planner and flight recorder
