MOH and PDO Sign Agreement

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) signed an agreement with the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) to fund the purchase of medical equipment.

Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al Ajmi, Undersecretary of Health for Administration, Planning, and Financial Affairs signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry, and PDO Managing Director Steve Phimister signed on behalf of the company

H.E. Dr. Al-Ajmi stressed the importance of government and other sectors partnership in the Sultanate of Oman to achieve the public interest’s needs, praising meanwhile PDO initiative to finance the procurement of number of medical equipment.

H.E.Dr.Al Ajmi added that the signing of the agreement is part of strategic partnerships to achieving community common good and upgrading the public welfare services and developmental projects across the Sultanate of Oman. 

PDO Managing Director Steve Phimister stressed the company’s keenness to activate the partnership and cooperation with the government institutions and non-governmental to serve aspects to development in the country including the provided health services to citizens as part of its social responsibility.

He said: “PDO is committed to make tangible improvements and generate sustainable benefits for Omani communities. Funding the purchase of number of medical deices for the Ministry of Heath would serve a large segment of people seeking health care services in the Sultanate of Oman.
