Ministry of Health signs an agreement with OQ to finance the establish emergency unit at Duqm Hospital

Duqm: The Ministry of Health today signed an agreement with the global integrated energy group “OQ” to finance the establishment of the emergency unit at Duqm Hospital in Al Wusta Governorate, at a value of approximately half a million Omani riyals.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Health by His Excellency Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al-Sabti – Minister of Health, and on behalf of the OQ Group by Ashraf bin Hamad Al-Mammari – Acting CEO.

The emergency unit to be established includes an operating room, intensive care, hospitalization rooms, a blood storage unit, and supporting health facilities. His Excellency the Dr. Minister of Health expressed his gratitude to the “OQ” group for establishing this unit as part of its tangible national and social role that it carries out in the Sultanate of Oman, noting that the emergency unit would provide additional services that support the health sector and provide quality services to citizens and residents who are in dire need of them. In times of emergency.

For his part, Ashraf bin Hamad Al-Maamari, acting CEO of OQ Group, stressed that the establishment of this unit reflects the importance that the group attaches to the safety and health of citizens and residents and an embodiment of its social responsibility, and its awareness of the importance of strengthening the health sector system because of its vital role in providing curative and preventive services.
