    • More than 1500 bags of chewing tobacco seized in Dhofar

    Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has seized more than 1500 bags and 4kgs of various types of smokeless chewing tobacco from a shop in Thumrait in Dhofar on Monday.

    In a statement CPA said: “In a recent seizure operation, more than (1500) bags and 4 kilograms of various types of smokeless chewing tobacco were confiscated from a shop in Thumrait. The act is in violation of the law therefore necessary legal measures were taken and the products were seized in preparation for their destruction.”
